Hello January

IT IS OFFICIALLY 2020.

How weird is that to read. As a 90s baby, I am having trouble believing that 2020 is already here. It feels like I have been stuck in 2012 for the last 8 years jamming out to ‘As Long as You Love Me’ by Justin Bieber and ‘Diamonds’ by Rihanna. By now, I am sure you know what apple music playlist runs in my Jeep during my road trips out of state.

We are finally getting snow in NW Ohio.I know most people hate the snow, but I absolutely love it. Goose does too!

Austin’s lease FINALLY ran out on his little Honda, so I decided that it was time to convert him… into a Jeep man! We are officially a Jeep family and what better place to start a Jeep family than in Toledo, OH: home of the Wrangler Jeep Plant. Austin chose a Jeep Cherokee and named it Chad, very fitting. Although, I still think Fiona the Sahara is way cooler (my personal Jeep obsession).

January is still young and I am sure there is more to come, but for now here is your update!

Celebrating into 2020

This holiday season has been jam packed with TONS of quality time with our friends and family. Austin and I have quickly realized that we were beyond home sick after moving to Ohio. So getting to spend some extra special time with our loved ones has made us feel beyond blessed throughout the holidays and entering the new year.

Our crazy season began early in November. Some of our dearest friends Katie and Jose tied the knot! Their special day was filled with love, laughter, and tequila!

A few weeks later, I headed up to North West Indiana to celebrate my Dad’s 50th Birthday. Because Dad isn’t much of a party person, my mom decided to throw together a 50th Birthday Bar Crawl for him instead. It was so much fun to be able to get together with lots of our family friends and catch up. Is there anything more fun than a Birthday Bar crawl in small town bar scene?

We spent the rest of the weekend visiting my sister in Chicago. We did some typical tourist stuff (even though Hollie is a Chicago girl herself, she chose to tag along with us for the fun of it!). One of the highlights to our weekend-cation was visiting the Sears Tower (aka Willis Tower).

Thanksgiving and Christmas flew by. We were lucky enough to be able to visit both of our families on the weekends surrounding the holidays. Christmas was my On-Call holiday during 2018, so Austin and I spent Christmas eve and Christmas day watching movies in our PJs and vegging out. Here are some photos my mom was kind enough to take of us for our Christmas card this year.

Our friends made a quick trip up to Ohio to celebrate a late Christmas with us. As always, we had a blast but I every time we spend time together, I am quickly reminded that I left part of my heart with them back in Indianapolis.

We realized how much we missed Indy, so we opted to join them for NYE.

Austin and I welcomed in the new year with so much love in our hearts. And even though we missed or friends & family and cherish every second that we were able to spend with them over the holidays- it has been nice to finally be settled back down at our little home in Ohio.
